Phentermine for Weight Loss: A Victor in the Food Vs Fashion Industry

By Naore Rome The lives of Americans, young or old center around two obsessions i.e. food and fashion. In fact, food and fashion are two entities that are pulling apart the life of an average American. But, like the two sides of a coin, they are entwined. With the marketing professionals of both the industries playing with their dreams on one hand and their basic human craving on the other, people are left confused amidst the bundle of contradictions. It is sometimes interesting to have an insight of the war between the tummy and the hourglass figure. But the surprise factor is the victory of Phentermine in the market war. Take a look at any of those glossy and sleek magazines of the glitterati in print. You will be amazed at the slender structures of the models posing (staring) at you from every single page. Little wonder, men lovingly call them, god’s gift to mankind’ (an envy to womankind). All these gorgeous models would be endorsing some fashion item or the other. Every single soul (including me) who flips through the pages of such magazines gets hooked to the image that it takes them a whole lot of an effort to come down to earth. We fail to realize that the images are just meant to be images that the marketer wants us to dream of. Our dreams translate to their sales in reality. It is just an illusion deceiving our naked eyes to wear what those sexy bods wear. Even if we don’t live to eat, we at least eat to live. No one in his right mind would forego a hearty meal that makes butterflies sputter in his stomach. It’s a lip-smacking experience just to lay our eyes on the goodies in the magazines that come with added flavors in the form of appetizing color schemes. The human body is programmed to have a craving for high calorie and fat laden foods. The clever messages and images giving company to the food ads also play mind games with you. A svelte woman or a lean and mean man is shown having a bite of a high sugary food. So, a misconception gets etched in the minds of the consumers. In spite of such high calorie food, if they can still maintain their figure, so can I. The message is surely misleading. Well, the clash of the marketing titans of the food and fashion world only confuses the customers to a greater degree. The fashion ads target people to stay trim and fit. This industry uses all the resources at hand to create a market, where it portrays its line of clothes, footwear and other accessories as trendy and happening. The industry is so adept at inculcating the fashion consciousness in the minds of the people that people, who don’t fit into the clothes, have a complex that they don’t fit into the happening crowd or the society. But with lithe and lissome models downing huge calories, they still yield to the call of their tummy. They are in a lose-lose situation. Then, out of the blue, the pharmaceutical industry came up with a solution. Phentermine can get you out of the muddle. You can still have the bite of your favorite chocolate, cake and ice cream and stay away from obesity. All you need to do is incorporate Phentermine in your daily weight loss schedule. Take Phentermine with a regular dose of exercise; you will then notice the changes in your body in a short while. Phentermine has become the victor in a war, where it is not a party Naorem is a freelancer who writes on the diverse aspects of weight loss and obesity. Acupuncture and Alternative Therapies for Chronic Fatigue

By Kevin Doherty It is estimated that over 50% of the American population experiences chronic fatigue. The most common causes are stress, overwork, insomnia, depression, and various malfunctions in the major systems of the body (endocrine, cardiovascular, digestive, etc.) Western medicine is decidedly lacking in safe and effective treatment options for fatigue. Quite commonly, the first step is to use a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), such as Prozac, Paxil, or Wellbutrin, as fatigue is commonly associated with depression. Although trends are changing among the newer generation of doctors, it is still quite rare that the patient is offered lifestyle counseling that focuses on nutrition, exercise, and sleep. There are many wonderful alternative treatment options that include acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, and exercise. Acupuncture tops the list because it tends to be so effective is supplementing the bodys energy. ACUPUNCTURE The majority of patients who complain of fatigue suffer from a deficiency of vital energy (Qi). Qi is the basic energy that creates optimal physiological and neurological function. Aside from fatigue, other signs of Qi deficiency are diarrhea, pallor, easy bruising, excessive sleep (more than 9 hrs. a night), scanty menses or amenorrhea, frequent urination, low libido, and shortness of breath. The strategy of Chinese medicine is to identify a pattern of disharmony that reflects the entirety of ones symptoms, pulse qualities, and tongue appearance. Moxibustion, a topical warming therapy, is typically used as a nourishing adjunct to the needles. This entails burning mugwort on top of the needles or directly on the skin to induce a stronger supplementing effect. I recommend weekly acupuncture and moxa treatments for 4-6 weeks, then assessing for progress. HERBS Qi deficiency primarily affects 4 different organs: the spleen, kidney, heart, and lungs. Here are symptoms and herbal treatment options for each pattern: Spleen: diarrhea, loose stools, bloating, bruising, fatigue, prolapse, laconic speech, internal cold Herbal Formula: Bu zhong yi qi tang Kidney: low back pain, low libido, fatigue, internal cold, frequent urination Herbal Formula: Jin gui shen qi wan Heart: restless sleep, worry, fatigue, heart palpitations, shortness of breath Herbal Formula: Gui pi tang Lung: chronic cough, weak immunity, allergies, fatigue, shortness of breath, asthma Herbal formula: Bu fei tang Adaptogenic herbs such as rhodiola rosea, ashwaganda, and ginseng may be helpful adjuncts . SUPPLEMENTS B Complex: B vitamins are warming and energizing. They build Qi and blood. Tyrosine: precursor to norepinephrine (often deficient in chronic fatigue) 5HTP: precursor to serotonin, for deeper sleep, weight loss, anxiety Adrenosen by Health Concerns and Adrenotone by Designs for Health are both effective adrenal tonics for fatigue due to adrenal burnout. EXERCISE I recommend getting 20-30 minutes of exercise 4-5 times a week. At first, this may feel forced and difficult because you wont want to exercise when you feel tired. After a few days, however, your body will begin to love the endorphin release and serotonin boost that exercise provides. Exercise alone can be a wonderful cure for fatigue. Your program should be a combination of cardiovascular and restorative exercise. Cardiovascular exercise involves running, biking, swimming, hiking, etc. Restorative exercise involves yoga, tai chi, or qi gong. IDENTIFYING WHERE YOU LEAK YOUR ENERGY Many people with chronic fatigue can attribute this pattern to a central theme that is stealing their energy. Perhaps you are in a marriage that is not working or a job that feels stagnant. Maybe you have set your life up so that you never have time for yourself because you are too busy caring for others. Or maybe you have financial problems that make life feel burdensome. Low energy is often a sign that we are not in control of our life, whether it is in relationships, work, with our health or with our money. Set an intention to heal any area of your life that is spiraling out of control and that feels toxic to you. IS THERE A PAYOFF FOR THE FATIGUE? Strangely enough, many people are chronically tired because it allows them to get attention from others. Fatigue becomes a way to soak up the well wishes of others, all the while avoiding our personal responsibility to show up to life and offer something helpful. It can be a touch question to ask, but I encourage you to contemplate whether or not you are being a victim to the fatigue. What is your belief system around it? Do you have an internal dialogue that supports and sustains the fatigue? What would your life look like if the fatigue wasnt an issue? I dont bring this up to undermine the validity of this very common health concern. In my clinical experience, however, I have noticed a rather common theme of victimization and relinquishing personal power in cases of chronic fatigue. There are many wonderful treatment options for chronic fatigue. This article is not intended to cover this issue in its entirety, as there can certainly be other factors involved in fatigue (immune dysfunction, low level pathogenic influences, etc.) The key is to be proactive in treating this condition. Exercise to Lose Belly Fat - Are You Making These 3 Mistakes?

By Tom Gifford Trying to exercise to lose belly fat can be a difficult thing to do if you are making some very common mistakes. Lots of people go to the gym and exercising in ways that are actually counterproductive to what they need to be doing. This article will show you 3 common mistakes that most people make which keeps them from being able to lose belly fat with exercise. The 3 Most Common Mistakes Exercise to Lose Belly Fat Mistake #1: Doing long cardio routines Does this one come as a surprise for you? If you need to lose belly fat with exercise, you should do as much cardio as possible because thats how you will burn calories, right? Not so fast. Doing long cardio routines going at the same speed the entire time is actually a recipe for failure! The reason for this is because of the way your body responds to this type of exercise. First, if you do the same cardio workout over and over again your body will adapt to it very quickly. When your body adapts to a certain workout, it becomes more effective at doing it. This means that over time, your body becomes more efficient at doing the same workout, and you actually burn less calories the longer you do it! If you have ever started to lose belly fat with exercise at first and then had your results come to a screeching halt, this is why! Second, doing the same cardio workout over and over again is just plain boring! If you are getting slow results from your exercise it becomes very difficult to push yourself to keep doing 30, 45, and 60 minute sessions. What works: Interval training! Exercise to Lose Belly Fat Mistake #2: Doing high reps of 15-20 when strength training The thought with this one is that if you want to get toned muscles then you should do high reps at a lower weight. The problem here is that if you are doing reps this high, then weight is probably not very heavy. If the weight is not heavy enough your muscles will not be challenged enough to get stronger. You see, your goal with strength training is to add lean muscle mass which will in turn increase your metabolism. If you are just doing high reps with a light weight, your muscles will not be stimulated to add any muscle mass, so you end up just doing lots of reps without any real physiological benefit! What Works: Doing lower reps of 8-12 reps with heavier weight, and using higher reps at certain parts of the training routine. Exercise to Lose Belly Fat Mistake #3: Doing endless crunches This is a very common misconception when trying to lose belly fat. The thought here is that in order to lose fat around the midsection you should do hundreds of crunches to spot tone the area. The truth is that you cannot lose fat in a specific area by working the muscle underneath the fat. This is called spot reduction or spot toning. When your body stores fat, it does not do it in one specific area. Instead, fat is stored all over your body. The same is true when it comes to losing fat. When you are doing the right things you will lose fat all over your body and not just in one specific area. Another reason that doing tons of crunches is not good for losing belly fat is because you are not working enough muscle to significantly increase your metabolism. What works: Doing a circuit training routine that focuses on multi-joint exercises. CONCLUSION If you are making these three mistakes outlined in this article, there is a good chance that your fat loss results are suffering. How to Find Love Overseas

By Scott Patterson Trying to find love overseas in never easy! You are far away from home and most of time you don’t know anyone in the area where you’re staying. In addition, you are probably busy from work and other obligations. So that leaves little time to find love overseas. The good news is you can easily locate an incredible person, even if you are far away from home. Let me explain… As we all know, being able to find love is not something that you find like you would in a book or a movie. There is no magical person that’ll suddenly appear and sweep you off your feet. If you want to find love overseas, you’ll have to be proactive about it. This means getting off your butt and taking action! The first thing you should do is take advantage of the Internet. For many people, logging on to find love is a convenient way to shop for a potential partner. In the past few years, searching online to find a partner has become popular with millions of people worldwide. Many people have met their current boyfriend/girlfriends online… so can you! Online dating has become so popular that I am simply amazed that there are still a large number of people who can’t find love. So if you’re serious about trying to find love overseas, I recommend that you place an online ad on some of the more popular websites in your area. Another way to take action and find love overseas is to get out and get involved in your area. If you look hard enough, you’ll discover that love is all around you. I once heard some advice that stated that the best way to find love is to attract it to you. This means that you should get involved with activities and hobbies in your region. Then become a leader in these groups and you’ll suddenly see a huge influx of potential dating partners. The final way to find love overseas is to use your connections. Most people meet their husbands or wives simply through their friends and co-workers. So if you’re serious about trying to find that special someone, then you should organize events where you can invite people you know. In your invitation, be sure to encourage your friends to bring other people they know. When you have a big group like that, you’ll discover it’s pretty easy to find someone that you can connect to. It is often said that you only find love when you’re not looking for it. I think this statement is partially true. If you create a well-balanced life and get involved in a variety of activities, you’ll discover that you have built up a large network of friends. Over time, these contacts will help you locate that special someone. So if you want to find love overseas, get involved in your community, look through Internet sites and organize social gatherings. I promise you’ll like the results! Having trouble approaching and attracting women? Well take a look at Scott Patterson’s FREE course on how to meet, approach and attract beautiful and interesting women. Read it today and start bringing home girls tomorrow. Satellite Phone - To Buy or Rent

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Paul_Cris]Paul Cris There are innumerable brands available of which the following are worthwhile: (1) Globalstar, (2) Iridium, (3) Inmarsat, (4) Thuraya, (5) Pelican, (6) RBGAN, and (7) NERA. The price of a satellite phone handset ranges from $275 to $9500 depending upon the type of services provided. A voice and slow access data phone handset will attract the minimum price whereas a high quality voice together with a real fast data transfer will cost much more, may be from $5500 to $9500. Data cables, SIM Cards etc., cost you more. The rates are on the basis of (1) rate of incoming calls and, (2) rate of outgoing calls per minute. Most companies do not charge, or, charge very little connection charges. In addition they also slap on you a service charge every time you renew. In case you want to rent, may be you are called to pay $45 to $ 475 per week towards rental; depending primarily on the type of handset you want. Whether you use it or not, you may have to pay an average daily minimum usage of 3 minutes, and in some cases, even more. Some satellite phone companies require you to pay weekly insurance, which, in all probability, will cost you between $25 to $45 per week! Iridium does not charge you any connection charges. However, they charge $.21 towards monthly subscription. Suppose you talk from your Iridium handset to another Iridium handset within the United States, you may have to shell out $.50 per minute. In the event of the call being an international one, you may have to pay $1.50 per minute. In all other cases where you talk from your Iridium handset to various other satellite phone systems, the charges are an exorbitant $8.50 per minute. Arbitration And The Lemon Law

By Donald Ladew If the neighbors Pekinese decides to scare off bad guys at 2:00AM in the morning, and does this every night, and you cant persuade your neighbor to correct the situation, perhaps mediation or arbitration is the answer. After all, going to court seems a bit much, and committing crimes against the little $%%$# is probably counter productive. I say this by way of introducing the fact that your long battle against the Fords or Mercedes of the world isnt at all like getting the neighbors lap dog to be quiet. There are situations where arbitration or a dispute resolution process is entirely appropriate. However we want to say it right up front, after over four thousand five hundred lemon law cases we have almost never seen a case where the vehicle owner benefited from arbitration with a manufacturer. It is an unequal battle that is but one step in a long war. The outcome is inevitable. To engage in this war is equivalent to a middle-aged, non-athletic accountant, dedicated to ribs and beer stepping into the ring with the young Muhammad Ali. You wont even see that sweet left hook coming. Everything is on the side of the manufacturer. Sun-tzu in the “The Art of War” wrote, “Generally in warfare: if ten times the enemies strength, surround them; if five times, attack them; if double, divide them; if equal, be able to fight them; if fewer, be able to evade them; if weaker, be able to avoid them.” I hate to be the one to break the news but consumers very definitely fall in the latter two categories. Consumers going into arbitration have fewer soldiers and are certainly weaker. In California two things level the playing field. A strong lemon law - the Song Beverly Act - and very experienced lemon law attorneys. We should have these things, after all California has more cars on the road than any other state. Lets look at a definition of Arbitration: “The process by which the parties to a dispute submit their differences to the judgment of an impartial person or group appointed by mutual consent or statutory provision.” With very few exceptions you can forget impartial and mutual consent. If Saddam Hussein offered to arbitrate detente between Islam and Israel, I for one would have problems with the impartiality of his decision. Mr. Hussein will never be found on the moral high ground. Arbitration can be similarly unequal. Fairness, equity and the proper application of the law are what should occur in arbitration. If you want the consumer to accept arbitration that is sponsored by an automobile manufacturer, or where the arbitration organization receives most of its business from automobile manufacturers, then I give you the same answer Israel would give Saddam. “Forget it! Not on your best day, sport!” There are other factors that unfortunately work against arbitration being an equitable solution for consumers with lemon vehicles. Training Professional arbitrators are not necessarily trained in the lemon law, in fact it is far more likely that they have no training in the subject at all. Arbitrators are rarely judges or lawyers. Generally the arbitrator is trained in so-called people skills, how to negotiate and perhaps a smattering of legal knowledge. This is a subject area where a little knowledge is very definitely dangerous. Perhaps the arbitrator imagines he or she can get by on common sense and honesty. If it were true the consumer would seldom lose a case. Are consumers properly prepared for arbitration? How could they be, even if they read the Song Beverly Act, or anything else? Even with all the facts, consumers dont know what to expect. Consumers arent all lawyers. The manufacturer will send a lawyer trained to handle this sort of thing. The manufacturers lawyer may lie; thats correct, lie. Theres not much consumers can do about that except feel miserable. Whether the manufacturer s representatives lie or not, they will present a blizzard of bizarre possibilities, all designed to confuse and dilute the consumers case. Is arbitration binding? There is light at the end of this particular tunnel, however. In California, arbitration is not binding; its just another waste of time. When the ruling is handed down, and the manufacturer is permitted another repair attempt, consumers need not comply, consumers can get a lemon law attorney and put an end to the endless games manufacturers play. Cost Even if the arbitration is paid by the state, what is often ignored is the lost time from work, expenses for experts where expenses are required, copying, and running around to get copies of missing paperwork. Then there is the time spent preparing an oral argument, trying to figure out how to answer the manufacturers defenses. Of course, if the manufacturer runs the arbitration, this is no arbitration at all. How long does it take? If consumers get this far they have often been trying to get the dealer/manufacturer to do something about their car for many months, even years. Arbitration adds another 30-90 days onto to the process. If the car is dangerous to drive what do consumers do? Are they supposed to endanger themselves and their families in an attempt to finally get the problem resolved? Should they do this, especially when there is a better than even chance that more delay will be added into the process by awards of additional repair attempts? This is hardly a fair and equitable solution to the problem. A little known fact All major vehicle manufacturers have networks of dealerships all across the country and even the world. Manufacturers enter into contracts with dealerships. These contracts affect every aspect of sales, maintenance and repair of their vehicles. More frequently than the public ever discovers, there are disputes between dealerships and manufacturers. Dealerships want uniform arbitration procedures and laws to help them deal with these disagreements. Guess who fights any sort of arbitration with dealerships? Exactly! The manufacturers. And yet, the manufacturer touts the benefits of the arbitration/dispute resolution process when it comes to consumers. Whats wrong with this picture? Remember, if the manufacturer wants arbitration, its not good for the consumer: Arbitration does not take place on a level playing field. At Norman Taylor & Associates we have seen enough cases to know this. The two sides have very different goals. Consumers simply want vehicles that work as advertised. The manufacturer does not want to give consumers a refund or replacement for their defective car and then be stuck with a vehicle that is worth half its current value, and may be impossible to fix or to sell. From the manufacturers point of view they have every incentive to make the entire process so difficult that consumers will give up and go away. Dont do it, Mr. and Mrs. Consumer. With professional help you can prevail. Absolutely nothing beats winning a hard fought battle when you are right. Beautiful Garden: The Paradise of God

By Cornelius R. Stam “And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed” (Gen. 2:8). The Greek name for the Garden of Eden is Paradise (Gr. paradeisos, “beautiful garden”). While this garden is not discussed in the New Testament, it is surely alluded to several times. In any case, we may be sure that if God planted the garden in Eden it was indeed a “Paradise,” a beautiful garden. PARADISE LOST Let us not blame God for the hideous scars this earth now bears. Blame man and his pride and greed. Blame his marching armies, his guns and bombs. Blame his “intellectual achievements,” his ability to pollute its surface and its atmosphere with toxic fumes and wastes, and with deafening noisesall in the name of progress. Blame his irresponsibility in cluttering its habitable surface with debris. God did not place man in such an atmosphere. Rather, “the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed.” How breathtakingly beautiful, how ineffably delightful these surroundings must have been! Adam and Eve, in Eden, must have enjoyed each other’s company here as no other wedded couple since, with only the light and pleasant responsibility to “dress” and “keep” the garden1 (Gen. 2:15), and with the special blessing of open fellowship with God, perhaps especially “in the cool of the day” (Gen. 2:19,22,23; 3:8). But when man fell, all creation fell with him. Man now had a fallen, sinful nature. The animal creation suddenly became wild and vicious, and as to the vegetable creation, God said to Adam: “Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and…in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread…” (Gen. 3:17-19). And to the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children…” (3:16). And even this manner of living was to be cut short at last by death and a “return unto the ground; for out of it,” said God, “wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return” (3:19). Indeed, lest man should now eat of the tree of life and live forever, God “sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till2 the ground from whence he was taken” (Gen. 3:23). Thus it is that we read in Romans 5:12: “Wherefore…by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all3 men, for that all have sinned.” Ever since that dreadful day, man’s greatest problem has been his sin. This is what lies at the root of all his trouble and misery, though the subject is not even dealt with in our great works on science. Obvious as is the fact of sin and its results, any consideration of this subject is brushed aside by the intellectuals of this world. A GARDEN FOR THE REDEEMED The results of the fall were indeed disastrous, changing man’s habitation from that of a beautiful garden to that of fields and forests that must be cleared and cultivated by laborious effort in the face of relentless opposition from many quarters. For the redeemed who departed this life, however, God again provided a beautiful garden. In “Old Testament” times the general designation for this place of the departed was sheol (Hebrew), with its Greek equivalent hades, both meaning “the unseen.” However, an examination of Luke 16:19-31 reveals that sheol, or hades, was divided into two areas, separated by “a great gulf” (Ver. 26). The term “Abraham’s bosom” (Ver. 22) describes one aspect of the place where the redeemed went. It was the place where Abraham, the “father of believers,” welcomed all his dear children home, as it were. But another aspect of this wonderful place is described by the name Paradise: Beautiful Garden. In his youth this writer somehow envisioned hades as a great two-part cavernous region, dimly lit and mysterious. But our Lord’s designation of the blessed area as “Paradise” throws an entirely different light upon it. How it must have touched the heart of the repentant thief crucified next to our Lord, to be assured by the Savior Himself: “Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43). This assurance must have filled him with comfort and joy despite the pain he suffered. Soon he would be with Christ in a beautiful garden! Gardens are where people go to rest and be refreshed, thus a garden of God’s planting must be infinitely more delightful, and to be in such a garden “with Christ”: what unspeakable joy! PARADISE RESTORED But according to the prophetic Scriptures, the Paradise of Eden will one day be gloriously restored and vastly enlarged. This will take place when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth to reign and Israel is saved and salvation and blessing flow from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. Here we could cite literally scores of Old Testament passages in confirmation, but a few will suffice: “Out of Zion shall go forth the law,4 and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” (Isa. 2:3). “The Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem” (Isa. 24:23). “Yea, all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him” (Psa. 72:11). “Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord” (Zech. 8:22). Paul confirms this in his epistle to the Romans: “And so all Israel shall be saved; as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob” (Rom. 11:26). “Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers; “And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written…” (Rom. 15:8,9). The results of this spiritual transformation will be far-reaching. No longer will man need to till a perverse soil and eat his bread in the sweat of his brow, for the curse will be removed from the vegetable creation: “The desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose. It shall blossom abundantly…for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water” (Isa. 35:1,2,6,7). The animal creation too will have the curse removed: “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain” (Isa. 11:6-9). And the curse shall be removed from mankind itself: “The eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall sing” (Isa. 35:5,6). “There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old;5 but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed” (Isa. 65:20). Other aspects of the fall will also be removed and reversed: Christ will be known by all: “The earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” (Isa. 11:9). Government will be purified: “A King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth” (Jer. 23:5). War and bloodshed will be abolished: “And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isa. 2:4). Israel’s suffering and sorrow will then be overand that of the other nations as well: “They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” (Isa. 35:10 cf. 40:5; 60:3). These are the conditions that will prevail when our Lord, the rightful King, reigns on earth for 1000 years. This will indeed be Paradise restored, and more. PARADISE EXALTED or THE HEAVENLY PARADISE Thus far we have considered Paradise, the Garden of Eden, also the Paradise so graciously prepared for believers of former ages, and Eden’s Paradise gloriously restored and enlarged during the kingdom reign of Christ. But what about the dispensation under which we now livea dispensation which has now lasted for almost 2,000 years? With regard to the delay in our Lord’s return to reign and restore this poor stricken world, the Apostle Paul states: “We know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.6 “And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body” (Rom. 8:22,23). Ah, but the apostle also reveals a “mystery,” a secret not made known until the risen, glorified Lord revealed it to him, not all at once, but by installments (See Acts 26:16; II Cor. 12:1). This revelation concerns the position, blessings and prospect of believers in the present “dispensation of the grace of God.” It must be that God reserved His greatest blessings for those who should trust His Son during the age of His rejection”this present evil age” (Gal. 1:4), for Paul relates in II Corinthians 12:1-7 how he was “caught up to the third heaven,” and he describes it as “Paradise”: beautiful garden! Think of it! the highest heaven (Gr., epouranios) a beautiful garden. This surely is Paradise exalted! Indeed, the apostle “heard unspeakable words” there, which a man was not permitted to utter. Here he was in the presence of God Himself, seeing and hearing things which we could not even begin to grasp. And so ineffably glorious was this revelation that God sent a “messenger of Satan” to buffet him physically, with “a thorn in the flesh,” lest he should be exalted above measure, and he repeats the reason twice for emphasis (See II Cor. 12:7). We cannot now grasp the glories which are ours in the heavenlies in Christ, but we can believe God’s Word that this is our position and these are our blessings (Eph. 2:6; 1:3). What is ours by grace we may now appropriate by faith alone, but the time will come when we will enjoy them actually, really. Then we shall see that the ideas we had of God’s presence and surroundings as only blazing, dazzling brilliance, were most inadequate, for Paul was there and, with all its glory, described it as Paradise, a beautiful garden, far more beautiful, surely, than anything we could even begin to imagine. THE PARADISE OF GOD We do not have space in this brief article to deal at length with what God has prepared for us in the ages beyond the kingdom reign of Christ, nor why this writer believes that gradually, during the millennium, and finally in full perfection forever, the redeemed nations of the earth and the redeemed in heaven will have full and open fellowship together. Then will be brought to pass the truth of Ephesians 1:10. “That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him.” Then “the paradise of God” on earth, referred to in Revelation 2:7, will be opened to the paradise in heaven! Who knows what glories lie ahead for the children of God! We can only look forward by faith to learning all about it by personal experience, for surely these are some, only a few, of the things “which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” But at least we know already that it is His gracious purpose: “That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Eph. 2:7). Endnotes 1. This was before the vegetable creation was cursed. 2. Note: not to “dress” the garden, but to “till” the ground. 3. All were in Adam and have come from Adam. 4. Now obeyed spontaneously, from the heart (Jer. 31:33). 5. I.e., One who dies at 100 years of age will be considered a mere child, and will die only as a judgment upon sin, which will not be tolerated at that time. 6. I.e., the curse has not yet been removed (because our Lord’s reign has been rejected and awaits a future day). Cornelius R. Stam was the founder of the Berean Bible Society. The Alternative Therapy of Acupuncture

By Michael Russell Acupuncture is a method of curing sickness that began in China possibly as long ago as 3000 B.C. It is established on the idea that there is a neural link between the organs of the body and some particular areas on the body’s surface. Sensitivity in any of these areas, codified long ago as acupuncture points, indicate the existence of disease. In current practice, stainless steel needles as thin as hairs are inserted at these predetermined points - no way identical with the source of the pain -and turned very quickly by hand or by electrical current. The needles may be left in place for only a few seconds or for as long as five minutes. Because they are inserted only a few millimeters into the skin, the process is not painful. The customary Chinese explanation for the helpfulness of acupuncture can be summed up as follows: The hundreds of acupuncture points are classified into twelve groups, and the points that are part of one of these twelve groups are connected by an imaginary line on the outside of the body. This line is called a meridian. The twelve most important meridians control most of the body’s organs. The body’s life forces are said to flow along these meridians, and all diseases are credited to a disturbance in this process. The rotating needles are presumed to release energy that has been obstructed, thus restoring the body’s recuperative balance. Although there is no indisputable scientific evidence to confirm the physiological presence of acupoints or meridians, several important research efforts into the nature and mechanism of pain have pointed out the there is a surprisingly high degree of correlation between acupuncture points and the trigger points for pain. Although the acupuncture points were discovered and labeled centuries ago, and the trigger points as recently as the 1970s, many researchers believe that they represent the same phenomenon, explainable by an fundamental process of the nervous system. Several decades ago, investigators into what makes acupuncture work as a treatment for pain proposed that the action of the needles stirred the release of endorphins. It has also been suggested that acupuncture activates a particular part of the brain that has a strong inhibitory command over the pathways along which pain signals are transmitted. While acupuncture has been attaining some success as a treatment for addiction to nicotine and other drugs, there is little doubt about its success in easing pain originating in a variety of conditions. Success rates in cases where other methods have failed, or where patients prefer not to be treated with strong medications, range from fifty to eighty percent. Facial pain (trigeminal neuralgia), low back pain, some types of arthritis, tension headaches, dysmenorrhea, and post herpetic neuralgia (the acute pain that follows a shingles attack) are among the conditions in which varying degrees of success have been reported. Because acupuncture is an invasive procedure, it is extremely essential to look for a well-qualified practitioner, preferably a doctor who uses disposable needles rather than needles that are cleaned and used again. Our Nation’s Healthcare Costs are Spiraling Out of Control

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Skip_Freedman] Skip Freedman Almost every day we read in the newspapers how healthcare costs continue to rise at a double digit pace. As employers each year we are chagrined to hear from our health insurance carriers that they’re passing on 12 to 15 to 17 percent increases in health care premiums. We respond by shifting costs over to our employees by increasing the deductibles and co-pays hoping to stem the tide of uncontrollable healthcare costs. Yet, they continue to rise. We want to do something about this. Clearly one of the things that we can be done is to make sure that in the healthcare system today, the resources are allocated only to those people who deserve and qualify for the treatment that they’re seeking on the basis of medical fact. AHIP commonly estimates that 30% of all healthcare treatments are unnecessary. We believe this to be the case because it mirrors our own statistical denials of healthcare benefits on the cases that we review for major health insurance carriers, Third Party Administrators and other clients. The point is allocating health care resources an important part of medical cost containment equation and something that we should all be concerned about? Certainly our company is not at the forefront of this. Our role is to simply provide independent medical review services that help payers allocate their resources more effectively. We believe there are many other ways o to solve this problem, and Independent Review Organizations are adding increasing value by helping to contain medical costs. As a member of the National Association of Independent Review Organizations (NAiro), weve banded together to press for changes in legislative and regulatory areas at the state level and to seek to unify the bureaucratic regulations that are tangling up our healthcare system at the state level and leading to increasing costs. We also are pushing for better ways to improve the overall healthcare system by advocating standards for credentialing Independent Review Organizations. All of the NAiro members are accredited by URAC which has helped us to improve our overall quality and to insure our clients that we meet high standards of performance when it comes to medical review quality, turn around time, objectivity and evidence based decision-making. NAiro is pursuing an aggressive agenda among its members to improve the overall responsiveness of the industry to changing healthcare trends, as it relates to emerging treatments. We’re also working actively as members of the URAC board to push forward an agenda that will make it easier for healthcare organizations to select credentialed organizations as their healthcare vendors. What other ideas do you have that could be implemented on this subject for our national advantage. We’d love to hear you at info@allmedmd.com. Culinary Arts Salaries

By Thomas Morva In the early days of man as a cave dweller, fire was discovered and ever since, cooked food has been popular. Over a period of time, culinary skills developed into a body of knowledge such that today, it is both a science and an intricate art. Culinary arts, as it is otherwise known, involves cooking different types of food, either for consumption by the person making it or for service to other people. The food industry is one of the fastest growing ones in the U.S. and employs the most number of people, next to government service. It is an ever-changing industry that is challenging and demanding. Career opportunities in this field are available in restaurants, hotels, on board ships and at resorts. This competitive industry offers various choices to pursue if one is passionate about food. Chef, caterer, pastry chef and restaurant cook are some of the most familiar options, amongst the many jobs available for someone who specializes in the culinary arts. There are also management positions such as executive chef, food and beverage manager, sales director and housekeeper. The salaries of chefs and cooks vary greatly according to the region and type of establishment. Wages are usually the highest in elegant restaurants and hotels, in major metropolitan areas, where many chefs are employed to head the food production of each type of cuisine. Culinary arts professionals who decide to work outside of big cities could earn between $8-$14 an hour. On the other hand, a line cook in San Francisco can earn $10 to $22 per hour. A chef in a fine dining restaurant or hotel can earn in excess of $100,000 per year. According to the U.S. department of Labor and Statistics, 2002, Chefs and Head Cooks had an hourly salary ranging from of $7.66 to $25.86, restaurant cooks from $6.58 to $13.21, institution and cafeteria workers from $6.10 to $13.34 and fast-food cooks from $5.68 to $9.13. Culinary art is a field highly in demand because it is considered as highly fulfilling in terms of job satisfaction and professionals in the field are well rewarded. Typically, as in any other industry, the salary levels increased with educational qualifications, experience and career advancement. Culinary Arts provides detailed information on Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts Schools, Culinary Arts Colleges, Culinary Arts Education and more. Culinary Arts is affiliated with Online Culinary Schools.
